I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor and clinical hypnotherapist registered with the BACP, UKCP and GHR. I am also a member of the Northern Guild for Psychotherapy. I have practiced as a psychotherapeutic counsellor since 2015. I work with adults, adolescents and children either individually, as couples or in groups.
I have worked in private practice, within office, schools and colleges and in nature-based settings.
I am warm, relational, supportive and approachable. Our therapeutic relationship is central to my way of working. I am further qualified in TA, CBT, Mindfulness, Art Therapy, Couples and Family Therapies, Child and Adolescent counselling which provides me with a wide range of strategies in my toolkit to create a unique and bespoke treatment plan for you and the issues which may be impacting you.
Together we explore what you want from the sessions and how to achieve this.
I also am also a university lecturer in psychology, psychotherapy and counselling and work continuously to further my learning, keeping up with professional development. I am particularly interested in the recent neuroscientific connections made between neural development, trauma, development of the core self and the impact of the first 1000 days from conception on our adult selves.
